Back to the wonderful world of weird guitars

What the...?
This is a Robin Wedge. Robin was a fairly ok brand back in the eighties. If I stumbled in to one of these, I would buy it right on!
Same goes for this eighties Dean with Kahler tremolo.

Now don´t come telling me that they are boring and ugly. Maybe it´s YOU?
Some of these monsters are really great guitars when it comes down to craftsmanship, choice of wood and hardware.
I have found something nice on Ebay that i actually put a bid on. Right now it´s on 200 Dollars and thats      just ridiculous. I show you if i win.

Little Stevens guitar i found at a youth recreation center!

Hi all!
I am using left hand only so this takes a while. Damn that Tendinitis. And damn the Impingement syndrome that i suffer from.
Google it and you´ll see.
Anyway, from out of nowhere i bring you my Guild X-88 Crue Star.
Custom made for Little Steven of the E Street Band in the eighties.
It was brought to Sweden in the hands of Jean Beauvoir from the Plasmatics.
It once had a Kahler tremolo but that was changed in the nineties somewhere.
I first got my eyes on this guitar when i was about 18 years old. It was hanging in the local music store, MUG. Back then it had the original Kahler still mounted. But it was many parts missing on the tremolo and back then Kahler´s was already out of fashion so there was no spare parts to be found. The Shop manager decided to remove it and make it more for the common people? (what were they thinking)
So it has some paint added where the Kahler once was. Pretty ok job after all..
Years went and it got sold to a youth recreation center (fritidsgård).
And another couple of years go by. And finally one day not to long ago i found it on the internet for sale. The guy worked at the recreation center and when all things stopped there and they put the place down, he bought the guitar from them. And now it was for sale.
It took me around 2 min to own this guitar. I will never sell it. Well, maybe if Steven wants it back!

The Guild x-80

Sometimes i don´t really know what to write here, so in this case i show you one of my all time fav electric guitar. American made Guild x-80. So what can a guitar with a ice cream name from the eighties have thats so special? First off it is one of the rarest 80´s guitar you can´t find. I don´t know how many was made. It sure has some spectacular features with the maxed body shape, neck size, pots, Dimarzio pups that does not seem to exist! There is one weirder Guild out there and thats the Bladerunner(check Joe Perry, Walk this way video with Run DMC).
Highly figured maple body and neck with ebony fretboard. Kahler bridge.
I have only seen one more in person and maybe one or two in some photos.
Try search for a picture of one on google! I dare you ....you won´t find one.
I got mine in Tokyo when i was searching for guitars in the coolest city in the Universe.
Musical instrument district....it said on the map. Can you believe it? The biggest freakin´
street, both sides Packed door to door with guitar shops? There was guitars outside the shops like a bleeding market.
Silver heaven.
So in the stairs, between floor 3 and 4, there it was.
I almost fell down 2 floors because i really did not expect to find one. Ever.
Sure, I bought it right after catching breath again, and a couple more but thats another story.
So enjoy if you are able to.
