You know i am a sucker for pointy guitars. Not because of the hair metal scene of the eighties alone, not at all. Because of Billy Gibbons. I cant remember the first time i saw ZZ Top with all those furry and spinning guitars and basses but something happened thats for sure. So here is a little collection of Billy´s awesome guitars. No matter what it says on the headstock. They are all made by John Bolin of Bolin guitars. Exept the eight ball guitar and bass. made by Hamiltone, who made Stevie Ray Vaughn´s custom inlay Strat. Apart from his 59 Pearly gates and that rather nice "the super model", I wouldn't say I share his taste in guitars, however the one i'm building at the mo has a pup inspired by the man, the TVjones Powertron bridge plus.. his tone is legendary..all in the fingers..just listen to "brown suger"..as we say, here is a man who could sound good plugging into a potato chip....
